App.Net: Setup/Installation Social Networks Auto-Poster for WordPress

App.Net uses OAuth to provide authorized access to its API. You need to create App.Net application and authorize it for your blog.

Important Notice: You need $100/year “Developer” App.Net account to be able to create your own apps. if you are regular App.Net user you need to upgrade or request an app from us.

View/Manage/Edit Apps:

App.Net Configuration

1. Create a App.Net App for your website.

1. Login to your App.Net account.

2. Go to the Developers section -> Your Apps: Sign in if asked.

3. Click “Create an App” Button. Fill name and website URL, fill “Callback URL” field with the exact URL of your SNAP Plugin Settings page”, click “Create”.

Please use your own information, don’t literally re-type “NextScripts Blog”, “” and other sample info.

4. Click your new app.
– Notice Client ID and Client secret on this page.

2. Connect App.Net to your WordPress.

1. Login to your WordPress Admin Panel, Go to the Settings->Social Networks AutoPoster Options.
2. Click “Add New Account”, select App.Net from the dropdown list.
3. Fill your App.Net Client ID and App.Net Client secret from step 1.
4. Check if you would like to add images.
5. Fill the “Post Text Format”. Default is: New post (%TITLE%) has been published on %SITENAME% – %URL%
6. Click “Update Settings”.

7. Go to your new App.Net Account. Click new link “Authorize Your App.Net Account”

8. Follow the Authoriziation Wizard. Click “Authorize”.

9. Wizard will return you to the SNAP Settings page. Check your new App.Net account. It should say “Your App.Net Account has been authorized. User ID: YYYYYYYYY”.

3. Your App.Net account is ready to use.
