NextScripts SNAP and Yoast SEO

NextScripts SNAP and Yoast SEO

Nice people from Yoast added SNAP to the list of incompatible plugins without any additional explanation.

The following plugins might cause (open graph) issues with Yoast WordPress SEO: NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster

Since there is no way to contact them, here is the explanation:

You can’t have more then one set of open graph tags on your site. Yoast SEO Plugin has an ability to add open graph tags on your site and SNAP can add open graph tags to your site as well. If you have both features active you will get two sets of open graph tags and that will confuse social networks that use open graph tags.

You need to disable open graph tags in one of the plugins.

You can disable open graph tags in SNAP in the settings tab:

You can disable open graph tags in Yoast SEO in the “Social” section:

UPD (Dec 3, 2014):

We reached out to Yoast, explained the situation and they agreed that there is no conflict between Yoast and SNAP: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/1796

Thanks! We use both SNAP and Yoast SEO on several sites, and we appreciate them both. But without any doubt, SNAP is the one single plugin we cannot live without!

Yaost SEO is good for SEO, but when it comes to social media it is the job for Nextscripts SNAP. I have disabled the open graph on YAOST and Nextrscipts SNAP works like a charm.

It appears now that NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster and Yoast SEO simply do not work together at all in an Elegant Themes theme. it causes the page builder to not load

This has nothing to do with the issue above. Your site is simply out of memory. All SNAP, Yoast and page builder are require quitre some memory. You don't have enough for all three.

Does this mean they fixed it? If so should I simply remove the lines they indicate too?

I'm not having all the stuff like the lady before... I've only just updated to 1.5.5.3 and... when I enter my website it's simply blank... white screen.

When I deactivate the plugin, the page is back. For the moment I leave it deactivated, but how to solve???

    Please help!

What is 1.5.5.3? Neither SNAP nor YOAST have such version numbers.

I've disabled Open Graphs on both plugins but I am still getting this error when I activate the plugin:

The following plugins might cause (open graph) issues with Yoast WordPress SEO: NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster, WP Facebook Open Graph protocol

      1. It's not an error. It's just a notice.
      2. Yoast does not check if you disabled Open Graph or not. Yoast shows this notice if it detects SNAP regardless.
